IMEC Seafarer Storytelling Competition 2026 – Now Open
We are pleased to share an exciting opportunity for all V.Ships seafarers to enter The IMEC Seafarer Storytelling Competition 2026.
This competition aims to amplify the voices, experiences, and aspirations of seafarers across the IMEC Membership. Selected entries will be showcased at the IMEC Conference in the United Kingdom on 21 May 2026.
Eligible participants are invited to submit a short video or presentation that highlights any one of the following. Please select one of the following only.
- Your Maritime Journey: Describe your personal story within the maritime industry, including how you entered the sector, key influences, and your future ambitions.
- A Request to the Industry: Identify one request or call to action—whether for your own development or for the benefit of the industry as a whole.
- Challenges and Growth: Reflect on the challenges you have faced, why they occurred, and how these experiences have shaped your professional and personal development.
All submissions must not exceed five (5) minutes in duration.
Awards & Recognition
Three winners will receive:
• Full travel and accommodation expenses
• Attendance at the IMEC Conference 2026
